I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be teaching JOURNAL TO THE SELF®, an empowering journal-writing workshop, again this fall. The course is offered ONLINE through PCC Extension at Pasadena City College, which means you can access it from anywhere in the world. We’ll meet on Zoom for six Wednesdays, September 16-October 21, 6:30pm-8:30pm PST. If you have to miss one of the live sessions, a recording will be available.

The workshop equips you with a toolbox of techniques for beginning or deepening a journal-writing practice — and it couldn’t come at a better time. I truly feel like journaling is an essential self-care practice right now. As the global pandemic drags into the fall, economic uncertainties expand, and election season heats up, we’re all burdened with varying degrees of stress, fear, and isolation. Journal writing creates a quiet space to reflect, take stock, and truly listen to the voice of our highest selves.

As Kathleen Adams, pioneering journal therapist and creator of Journal to the Self, has written, “We hold in our awareness, even if it is on the unconscious level, an inherent wisdom that wants to guide us in the direction of our fullest development.” The toolbox of techniques in the workshop are designed to help you connect to that inner wisdom, providing a foundation for your personal, professional, and/or spiritual growth. If you’re searching for meaning, serenity, community, and maybe even a new direction for your life within the current moment of upheaval, then this course is for you.

Typically, the cost of the workshop is $275 per person, but PCC Extension is offering it for the very low rate of $105 per person (plus $10 materials fee for the workbook). You can register here up until noon on September 16.

Hope to see you on Zoom!
